Moline, Illinois Lois L. Skromme, 84, of Moline, Illinois, died Tuesday, October 7, 2003, in Rosewood Care Center, Moline. Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at Faith Lutheran Church, Moline, with The Reverend Mark Gehrke officiating. Burial is in Moline Memorial Park. Visitation is 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Trimble Funeral Home, Moline. Memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church, 1611 41st Street, Moline IL 61265 or Alzheimer's Association, 736 Federal Street, Davenport IA 52803. The former Lois Lucille Martin was born February 11, 1919, in Boone, Iowa, the daughter of Roy E. and Elida (Reinertson) Martin. She was raised by her mother and step-father, Arthur Fausch. She married Arnold Skromme on September 14, 1940, in Slater, Iowa. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, where she had been active in many church activities, and King's Daughters. She enjoyed gardening and reading. Lois is survived by her husband of 63 years, Arnold; a son, Roger Skromme and his wife Marilyn of Prophetstown, IL; a son Keith Skromme and his partner Tom McClure of Pittsburgh, PA; a daughter, Debbie Wegener of Moline; a son Erik Skromme and his wife Laurie of Ottawa, IL; seven grandchildren, Heather Jo Vahle and her husband Jake; Dawn Lockhart and her husband T. J.; Tad Skromme and his wife Stephanie; Carrie Skromme; Molly Wegener, Nicholas Skromme; and Douglas Skromme; three great-grandchildren, Taylor Skromme, MacKenzie Vahle, and Brett Lockhart; half-sisters, Janice Amme and her husband Robert of Denver, Co, and Rosemary Sampson of Ames, IA; a half-brother, David Fausch and his wife Doris of Boston, MA, and a sister-in-law, Barbara Martin of Huxley, IA.
