Lois E. Lindgren

Lois E. Lindgren, 92, of Moline, Illinois, died Tuesday, April 18, 2017, in Heartland Health Care Center, Moline.

Services are 2:30 p.m. Monday, May 1, 2017, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Moline, with The Reverend Larry Conway officiating. Visitation is one hour before the services. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, and burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the church or a favorite charity. Trimble Funeral Home, Moline, is serving the family.

The former Lois Elaine Bergren was born August 31, 1924, in Moline, to Edward and Effie Falk Bergren. She graduated from Augustana College and worked at Lucien Lelong Cosmetic Company headquarters in Chicago. She married Don Griffee in 1948, in Peoria, Illinois. She later married Stanley L. Carlson in 1984, in Moline. He died in 1997. She married Donald Lindgren in 1997, in Moline. He died February 2, 2006. She worked as a speech therapist for East Moline schools for eight years, and then for Moline School District #40 for 19 years, retiring in 1984. She also worked part-time as an associate with Century 21 Cornelis-Simpson in Moline.

Lois was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Moline, and active in many organizations, including AAUW, King's Daughters, Rock Island County Historical Society, Augustana Endowment Society, Moline Literary Guild, Illinois Retired Teachers Association, and Junior Service League. She enjoyed playing bridge and traveling.

Lois is survived by two children, Beth Schrup and Ted Griffee, both of Moline; two grandchildren, Nicholas Schrup and his wife Sara and Andrew Schrup; and a great-granddaughter, Stella Schrup.
