Linda J. Stanton, 73, of Jamestown, Tennessee, died Wednesday, November 30, 2022, in Jamestown.

A hospitality gathering to celebrate Linda’s life will be held Saturday, April 22, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Trimble Funeral Home, 1700 1st Street, Coal Valley, Illinois. Private burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or Tunnels to Towers Foundation.

The former Linda Jean McCleary was born February 22, 1949, in Muscatine, Iowa, the daughter of Lawrence Alec and Geneva Mae (Ashby) McCleary. She married Kenneth Lee Stanton on June 21, 1975, in Galesburg, Illinois.

Linda drove a school bus for the Orion School District for 20 years. She also sold real estate and for Wal-Mart in both Silvis and Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. She loved to travel and spend time with her family.

Linda is survived by her beloved husband, Kenneth of Jamestown, Tennessee; grandchildren, Corey (Nicole) Martin, and Jonathan Crews; and a great-grandson, Caiden Martin. She was preceded in death by her parents her son, Jeffery Crews.
