Lillian J. Tucker

Lillian Tucker, 88, of Coal Valley, Illinois, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, in UnityPoint Health - Trinity Rock Island.

Visitation is 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at Trimble Funeral Home 1700 1st Street, Coal Valley. A funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. with The Rev. Tim Carr officiating. Cremation will follow the funeral at Trimble Crematory, Moline. Burial will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Rock Island National Cemetery. Those wishing to attend should meet at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, at 1:15 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Animal Aid Humane Society, Moline.

The former Lillian Joan Meadows was born September 23, 1928, in Alameda, California, to Lee Herbert and Alice Elizabeth Young Meadows. She married Richard J. Tucker on May 23, 2002, in Rock Island, Illinois. He died July 21, 2009. She was a laundromat attendant at Mother Hubbard's Cupboard for 8 years, and previously worked at Clifton Precision and Eagle Signal. She was an animal lover, loved watching wrestling, and enjoyed bowling, reading and helping others.

Lillian is survived by three children, Linda (Daniel) Gonse of Wildomar, California, Margaret (Dan) Welch of East Moline, and Darrell (Michelle) Allen of Gresham, Oregon; two step-sons, Richard (Janice) Tucker of Acampo, California, and Bradford Tucker of Klamath Falls, Oregon; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and several siblings, including Florence Green of Oakdale, California. She was preceded in death by her husband, a step-daughter, Lynn Weber; and a brother, Lee Meadows.
