Lester N. Mazzarollo

Lester N. Mazzarollo, Sr., 89, of Moline, Illinois, formerly of Rock Island, Illinois, died Sunday, April 3, 2022, at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline.

Services are 1:30 p.m. Friday, April 8, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, with Father Anthony Ego officiating. Visitation is one hour prior to services. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery, where the Moline American Legion Post #246 will present military honors. Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established.

Lester Neal Mazzarollo was born April 1, 1933, in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Alvise “Al” and Marie (Vroman) Mazzarollo. He served in the U.S. Army and married Brenda Armour on March 19, 1984, in Milan, Illinois.

He was a car salesman in the area for many years, working at Ericksen in Milan and Dahl Ford in Davenport. Prior to working in the car industry, Lester was a Rock Island Police Officer. He enjoyed golfing, bowling and spending time with his family.

Lester is survived by his wife, Brenda; six children, Ricki Mazzarollo, Randi Barnes, Leslie Scharer, Shawn (Heather) Mazzarollo, and Iris Mazzarollo, all of Rock Island, and Sally Chaplinski of Tampa, Florida; and several beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Lester Mazzarollo Jr. and Neal Mazzarollo, and sisters, Patsy Sellers and Joanne Payne.
