Patricia Crownover, 80, of Coal Valley, Illinois, died Thursday, October 6, 2011, in Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, Iowa.
Services are 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, 601 21st Street, Moline, with Reverend Daniel A. Witkowski of First Lutheran Church, Moline, officiating. Visitation is one hour prior to services. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House.
The former Patricia Nancy Myers was born March 2, 1931, in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of Albert Roy and Minnie Louise (Walstrom) Myers. She married Ray A. Crownover on August 20, 1949, in Hernando, Mississippi.
Pat worked for various hospitals in the area as a respiratory therapy technician, including St. Anthony?s Hospital in Rock Island.
She was a member of the Rock Island Moose Lodge Moose Lodge #168, a 55-plus year member of the Moline American Legion Post #246, and an honorary member of the Coal Valley Police Department for her volunteering and support. She enjoyed crafts and was a talented oil painter.
Pat is survived by her husband of 62 years, Ray; children and their spouses, Linda Crownover-Inch of Coal Valley, Diane and James Harder of Orion, , David and Dana Crownover of Chandler, Arizona, Timothy and Diane Crownover of Moline, and Loren and Kathy Crownover of Sherrard; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and siblings and their spouses, Maxine McFall of Amarillo, Texas, Charles and Ramona Myers of Omaha, Nebraska, Carl and Joan Myers of Cross Plaines, Wisconsin, Russell and Donna Myers of Bettendorf, Dixie McMullen of Geneseo, and Sheri and Merrill Morris of Moline. She was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Temple, and a brother, Albert Myers.
