Leah Z. Mcsparin

Moline, Illinois Leah Z. McSparin, 63, of Moline, died Friday, February 21, 2003, in Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island. Services are 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Trimble Funeral Home, Moline. Burial is in Rose Lawn Memorial Estate, Moline. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The former Leah Zee Voelschow was born November 8, 1939, in Manchester, Iowa, the daughter of Howard and Lena (Helmrich) Voelschow. She was a truck weight inspector for the Illinois State Police for 18 years, last working in 1999 due to illness. She enjoyed doing crafts. Leah is survived by her mother, Lena Voelschow of La Porte City, Iowa; three children and spouses, Glenn and Susan McSparin of Sunrise, Florida, Kristine McSparin of Moline, and William McSparin and Maria O'Rourke of Randall, Iowa; seven grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Harold "Bud" and Helen Voelschow of La Porte City, Iowa; and a sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Everett Hoppenworth of Waterloo, Iowa.
