Laveta Hedrick

Moline, Illinois Services for LaVeta Hedrick, 91, formerly of Moline, are 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Trimble Funeral Home, Moline. The Reverend Steven Wood, First Baptist Church, Moline, will officiate. Burial is in Riverside Cemetery. Memorials may be made to a favorite charity. Mrs. Hedrick died Monday, February 11, 2002, in St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana. The former LaVeta Stice was born June 10, 1910, in Monte Vista, Colorado, the daughter of James and Iva Mae (Brumbaugh) Stice. She married Captain Truman Hedrick on December 14, 1928, in Lewistown, Missouri. He died January 14, 1982. She had been a member of First Baptist Church, Moline. LaVeta is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Basil "Base" and Susan Hedrick of Bellevue, Washington; and a daughter-in-law, Anne K. Hedrick of Indianapolis, Indiana; a granddaughter, Anne (Anita) Caraker and a great-grandson, Dylan Caraker, all of Indianapolis.
