Kitty W. Rauch

Kitty Stiner Rauch, 85, of East Moline, Illinois, died Sunday, July 3, 2022, in her home.

A celebration of Kitty’s life will be held from 12 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 9, at The Logger House 256 South State Avenue, Hampton, Illinois. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

Kitty Wanda Rauch was born August 6, 1936, in Marion, Kentucky, to Thomas and Mildred (Sliger) Hodge. She married Willis Stiner, and they were later divorced. She married Charles Robert Rauch on December 31, 1994. He died March 17, 2018. She had been employed at Trevor True Value Hardware, Moline.

Kitty spent much of her time baking and decorating birthday and wedding cakes along with teaching cake decoration classes. She was also known for her candy making which she shared with friends and family at Christmas time. She enjoyed playing Bingo and watching NASCAR races. Everyone who knew her, loved her, and often remarked about how sweet she was.

Kitty is survived by four children, Ruth Allison of Moline, Marsha Woolley of Taylor Ridge, Tom Stiner of East Moline, and Diane Schriner of Rock Island; eight Grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and siblings, Sharon Hoggard of LeClaire, Earl Hodge of Henderson, Nevada, Barbara Mosley of Pelham, Alabama, and Randy Hodge of East Moline.
