Sherrard, Illinois Kenneth J. Cockerham Jr., 34, of Peoria, formerly of Sherrard, Illinois, died Saturday, June 8, 2002, in the Emergency Room at St. Francis Hospital, Peoria. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Trimble Funeral Home, 1700 First Street, Coal Valley, Illinois, followed by a prayer service at 8 p.m. Private burial will be in Coal Valley Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family. Kenny was born June 25, 1967, in Moline, the son of Kenneth and Lillian (Weir) Cockerham. He was a siding contractor and owned Cockerham Construction in Peoria. He liked body building, camping, canoeing and fishing. He is survived by his father of Morton, Illinois; three sisters, Laurie Barajas of New Windsor, Illinois, Sheila Rhodenbaugh of Sherrard, and Brenda Kirby of Moline; a brother, Mark Cockerham of Texas; a half-sister, Amber Hankins, and a half-brother, Scott Cockerham, both of Henry, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.
