Keith R. Felger

Keith R. Felger, age 76, of Coal Valley, Illinois, passed away on February 25, 2015, at UnityPoint Health - Trinity Rock Island, Rock Island, Illinois.

Visitation will be held at Trimble Funeral Home, 1700 1st Street, Coal Valley, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 28, with the funeral service to follow.

Keith was born on July 8th, 1938, in Davenport, Iowa, to Raymond and Edna (Thomas) Felger. He graduated from Calamus High School in 1957, and served in the United States Army Reserve. Keith retired from Alcoa in 1995 after a career of 31 years.

Keith lived by his own, fast-paced terms, was quick to help a stranger in need and was loyal to his friends. He was a leader, a problem solver, a patriot and a builder.

Keith was active in dirt bike racing, the Mississippi Valley Rodeo, antique tractor restoration, yearly trips to Sturgis, boating on the Mississippi River, riding horses and his many construction projects.

Keith Felger wanted to get the most he could out of this life. He's at rest now.

Keith is survived by his sister Sandy (Jim) and by his sons Todd (Jude) and Brad (Lora). He has four grandsons Alex, Josh, Dillon and Lucas. He was preceded in death by mother and step-father, Edna and Gene Hertensen.
