Joseph (Joey) Deroo

Joe DeRoo, 59, of Moline, lllinois, died Saturday, May 20, 2006, in Oak Glen Home, Coal Valley.
Private family services will be held. Following cremation, burial will be in St. Mary?s Cemetery, East Moline. Memorials may be made to Association for Retarded Citizens (ARC) of Rock Island County. Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, is assisting the family.
Joseph Gerard DeRoo was born April 28, 1947, in Moline, the son of Gerard and Emma (Poelvoorde) DeRoo. He was associated with ARC for several years, and especially enjoyed working in the kitchen and with flowers.
He is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Anna and Jim McClary of Indianapolis, and a brother and sister-in-law, Daniel and Janet DeRoo of Colona, and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Arlene DeRoo Streit.
