John Warren Goldsmith

John W. Goldsmith, 83, of Moline, Illinois, died Wednesday, February 21, 2001 at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island.

Services will be held Saturday, March 3 at 2:00 p.m. at Trimble Funeral Home, Moline. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to service time. Graveside services will be held Sunday, March 4 at 1:00 p.m. at the Oblong Cemetery, Oblong, Illinois.

Mr. Goldsmith was born March 6, 1917, in Carlyle, Illinois, the son of Roy and Elsie (Corchran) Goldsmith. He married Kathryn Fark on April 25, 1942 in San Diego, California. He was a member of First Congregational Church, Moline. He and his wife owned and operated Goldsmith's Clothing Store in Oblong for 37 years.

Survivors include his wife, Kathryn; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Philip Koenig; granddaughter, Kathryn Koenig; grandson Jon Koenig and his wife, Rebecca; and a great-grandchild, Joseph Koenig, all of Moline.
