Joanne Marie Suess

Joanne M. Suess, 72, of East Moline, IL, died February 16, 2006, at Trinity Terrace Park in Bettendorf, IA.
Services are 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Moline, where she was a member. Visitation is Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Burial is in Moline Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be given to either the Alzheimer?s Research or to Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
The former Joanne Marie Suess was born in Lancaster, WI, the daughter of Kenneth and Helen (Hildreth) Burton. Joanne graduated from Cassville High School in 1952. She married Donald F. Suess on July 7, 1972 in Moline, Illinois. She was employed at Petersen Haunerd Von Maur at Southpark in Moline for 20 years before retiring. Joanne enjoyed traveling.
Joanne loved crafting, baking, sewing, gardening, and working and spending time outdoors. She brought smiles to all and laughter to those lucky enough to know her.
Survivors include her husband, Don Suess of East Moline, IL; two sons, Jeffrey Curtis of Redwing, MN, and Steven Curtis of Forest Lake, MN; three step-daughters, Dawn Coleman of Rock Island, IL, Karen Suess of East Moline, and Deborah Suess of Moline; three sisters, LoRayne Konichek of Prairie du Chien, WI, Carletta Bausch of Viroqua, WI, Vicky Ackerman of Freeport, IL; three brothers, Gary Burton of Reedsburg, WI, Marshall ?Tuffy? Burton and John Burton, both of Lancaster, WI; and six grandchildren.
Joanne was preceded in death by a sister, Leila Williams; two brothers, Denny and Leroy Burton; and a niece, Joanne Williams.
