Joan M. Peters

Joan M. Peters, 62, of Moline, Illinois, died Wednesday, October 2, 2019, at home.

A hospitality gathering with Harris Pizza and beverages will be held from Noon until 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 20, 2019, at CityView Celebrations at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of the Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

The former Joan Marie Polasek was born August 1, 1957, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the daughter of Richard and Eileen (Bailey) Polasek. She married Richard Peters on April 1, 1999. She most recently worked in the kitchen at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline.

Joan loved cooking and eating out at restaurants. She also liked camping, fishing, and playing darts. Above all else, family was the most important thing to her, especially her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Richard; three children, Belynda (Jake) Bagley of Phillipsburg, Missouri, Jonathan (Angie) Fariole of Rolla, Missouri, and Daniel (Emily) Fariole of Moline; eight grandchildren; three siblings, Dan (Donna) Polasek, Mary Anne (Tom) Horsman, and Judith (Bob) Czyz, all of Wisconsin; several nieces and nephews; and her dog, Lambeau.
