Alicia Jeannette Stomberg, 43, of Springfield, Illinois, formerly of Coal Valley, Illinois, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2016, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

Services are 11 a.m. Monday in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation is one hour before the services. Friends are invited to join the family at a funeral luncheon at CityView Celebrations at Trimble Pointe following the burial. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Peyton Rylie's college fund.

Alicia-Jeannette White was born December 18, 1972, to Reverend Curtis White and Marjorie (Hinds) White in Chicago, Illinois. She married Jason Stomberg on January 3, 2013, in Springfield. She served honorably as a Corpsman in the U.S. Navy from 1991 to 1996, serving during Operation Desert Shield. With the U.S. Navy, she deployed to the Mediterranean, traveling the world and visiting many beautiful places. Additionally, she received her degree in Nursing from Trinity College of Nursing and her B.S. in Biology from University of Illinois, Springfield. She was employed in Client Support Claims at the Illinois Dept. of Healthcare & Family Services Division of Child Support Services.

Jeannette's greatest aspiration in life was starting a family. On April 20, 2007, she gave birth to her daughter Peyton Rylie Stomberg, around whom Alicia's world would revolve. Alicia-Jeannette also enjoyed fishing with her family, cooking, and crafting.

She is survived by her husband, Jason Stomberg of Springfield; her daughters, Peyton Stomberg of Springfield and Breanna Stomberg of Bartonville, Illinois; her mother and father, Marjorie Hinds-Stone of Coal Valley and Reverend Curtis (Jacqueline) White of Clinton, Iowa; siblings, Aaron White of Crown Pointe, Indiana, Heather White of Bettendorf, Iowa, and Danielle (Lukas) Sanderson of Coal Valley; and nieces and nephews, Sierra White, Aidan Sanderson, and Lily Sanderson.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Richard and Rowena Hinds and Grace and Eugene White, and her step-father, Dan Redman.
