Jeannette A. Peters, 85, of Moline, Illinois, died Wednesday, August 8, 2018, at UnityPoint Health - Trinity Rock Island, Rock Island, Illinois.

Services are 10:00 a.m. Saturday in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, with The Rev. Donald Knowles officiating. Burial is in Riverside Cemetery, Moline. Visitation is 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Honor Flight of the Quad Cities or a favorite charity.

The former Jeannette Anne Stromer was born September 26, 1932, in Moline, the daughter of Herbert L.W. and Melba (McCann) Stromer. She married James Page on July 14, 1951, in Kirkwood, Missouri. The couple divorced in 1958. She married Richard H. "Bud" Peters on March 8, 1965, in Ottawa, Illinois. He passed away on May 31, 1995. She worked in admissions for the Moline Public Hospital emergency department for 16 years, retiring in 1989.

She was a long-time member of Calvary Lutheran Church, where she was involved in many groups, including the Serenity Circle. She enjoyed ceramics, and was a wonderful seamstress and cook. Above all else she loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Jeannette is survived by three children and their spouses, Patricia Page of Moline, Janet and Rick Serre of Moline, and Mary and Todd Petersen of East Moline; four grandchildren, Sanford Hotchkiss of Moline, James and Amber Hotchkiss of Moline, William and Susan Serre of Sherrard, and Emily Petersen of East Moline; four great-grandchildren, Hunter and Halen Hotchkiss, and Max and Alex Serre; a sister, Kathleen Stromer of Moline; and a niece, Angela Stromer of Moline. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
