Jeanette L. "Jenny" Blake, 85, of Moline, Illinois, died Monday, December 17, 2018, at UnityPoint Health - Trinity Rock Island, Rock Island, Illinois.

A Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline, with Father Donald Levitt officiating. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to services. Memorials may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Trimble Funeral Home & Crematory, Moline, is entrusted with arrangements.

The former Jeanette Louise Hoeg was born June 28, 1933, in Moline, Illinois, the daughter of Norman Sr. and Ruth Himioben Hoeg. She graduated from Alleman High School. She married Fred J. Blake on January 10, 1976, in Moline. Previously she had been married to Charles R. Mathias.

She worked for Readmore Book World for several years. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline, and enjoyed crossword puzzles and reading. Above all else, family was the most important thing to Jenny.

Jenny is survived by her beloved husband of nearly 43 years, Fred Blake; children, Robin Schmidt of Coal Valley, Charles (Lynette) Mathias of East Moline, Debra (Rick) Armstrong of Moline, William (Korina) Mathias of Silvis, Thomas Mathias of Silvis, and Wesley Mathias of Moline; grandchildren, Roy Jr. (Connie) Schmidt of Moline, Laurie Schmidt of Coal Valley, Ryan Mathias of East Moline, Kylie (Scott) Gerardy of Maquoketa, Iowa, Ricky Armstrong of Davenport, Iowa, Jeff (Angie) Armstrong of North Aurora, Illinois, Megan Armstrong of Silvis, and Ashley (Philip) Vernau of Chicago, Illinois; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandsons; and a sister, Loretta Wickum of Moline. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Norman Hoeg, Jr.
