Jean Swartz

Jean D. Swartz, 70, of Live Oak, Texas, formerly of Moline and Kankakee, Illinois, died Tuesday, May 22, 2018, in Northeast Methodist Hospital, Live Oak.

Services are 2 p.m. Saturday in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, with visitation one hour before the service. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Friends are invited to join the family at a funeral luncheon at CityView Celebrations at Trimble Pointe following the burial.

The former Jean Diane Wilson was born March 16, 1948, in Rock Island, Illinois, to Elmer David and Genevieve Ann (Reiling) Wilson. She was a cashier at Walmart and K-Mart before becoming disabled in her 30's. She was an avid reader and writer, loved going to the symphony, enjoyed listening to music, and was quite the dancer in her younger years.

Jean is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Stacey and Jim Bruno of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren and spouses, Austin and Drew Bruno, Andrew Bruno, and Abbie and Ron Cwetna; four great-grandchildren, Joshua Anthony, Sophia Grace, Evelyn Mae, and Natalie Rose; her twin sister and her husband, Janet and Chuck Jenkins of Shell Lake, Wisconsin; and a nephew, Michael Matson.
