Jason G. Hesse

Jason Hesse, 38, of Rock Island, Illinois, died Friday, September 18, 2015, in his home after a courageous battle with cancer.

Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Moline Community of Christ, 1525 48th Street Place, Moline. A hospitality visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Burial is in Moline Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Jason Hesse Memorial Fund.

Jason George Hesse was born July 21, 1977, in Moline, to George Jr. and Valerie (Smiddy) Hesse. He graduated from Moline High School in 1995, and attended Danville Community College. He married Lynsy Ann Reeder on June 4, 2005, in Moline. He was a supervisor at Quad City Freight in Davenport.

Jason was a member of Moline Community of Christ. He loved to spend time with his wife and his dog, Bailey, and his nieces and nephews, and also enjoyed golf and working.

Jason is survived by his wife, Lynsy; his parents, Valerie and George Hesse Jr. of Moline; brothers, Paul Hesse of Moline and Joey Hesse of Davenport, Iowa; his grandmother, Charlotte Smiddy of Moline; and nieces and nephews, Kylie, Aaliyah, A. J., Ryan, Emery, and Hailey Hesse. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul Smiddy and Elizabeth and George Hesse Sr.
