Janett P. Upton

Janett P. Upton, 70, of Moline, Illinois, died Tuesday, September 15, 2020, in Centennial Rehab and HealthCare, Moline.

Services are 1 p.m. Monday in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation is one hour before the services. Friends are invited to join the family at a funeral luncheon at CityView Celebrations at Trimble Pointe following the burial. Masks and social distancing are required.

The former Janett Phyllis Paulson was born November 12, 1949, in Moline, to Thuree and Greeta (Kline) Paulson. She graduated from Moline High School, and married Thomas E. Upton on December 16, 1967, in Silvis. She worked in medical billing for several years. She was a devoted mother and followed all of the kids sports, and played in a woman’s soccer league in her younger years. She enjoyed gardening and reading and especially loved writing letters with her cousin Nancy.

Janett is survived by her husband, Tom; two children and spouses, Thomas Jr. and Kelly Upton of Bloomington, Illinois, and Jennifer and Robert Ross of Rock Island; five grandchildren, Brittany Rich-Jumper, Keeton Upton, Jacob Upton, Matthew Ross, and Ethan Ross; and two sisters.
