Janet L. Hoeper

Janet L. Hoeper, 82, of Davenport, Iowa, died Sunday, December 17, 2017, in the emergency room at UnityPoint Health - Trinity Bettendorf.

There will be no public services. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of the Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

The former Janet L. Morgan was born December 1, 1935, in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of William and Vera (Hinkle) Morgan. She married Leland Hoeper on November 6, 1933. He died June 17, 1973.

She worked for the Davenport Police Department for many years, retiring in 1995 as the secretary to the Police Chief. She enjoyed sewing, watching television, and loved her Starbucks Frappuccino's.

Janet is survived by three children, Leslie Shradel of Le Claire, Iowa, Michelle Pfannenstiel of Davenport, and Doug Hoeper of Georgia; grandchildren, Kyle Shradel, Drew and Leanne Shradel, Andrew Huntington, Kimberly Huntington, and Rebecca and Justin Bowman; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leland; and sisters, Betty and Ona.
