Jane Katherine Fitzgerald, 91, of Moline, Illinois, formerly of Tucson, Arizona, died Saturday, March 26, 2005, at Trinity Medical Center in Rock Island, Illinois.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 9th, 2005, at First Covenant Church, Moline, with the Reverend Randall Surey officiating. Burial of cremains will be in East Lawn Palms Cemetery, Tucson, Arizona. Memorials, for a bench to be given in Jane?s name to the Prospect Park Renovation, may be sent to the Jane Fitzgerald Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 640, Moline IL 61266. Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, is in charge of arrangements.
The former Jane Katherine Engwall was born August 22, 1913, in Starbuck, Manitoba, Canada, the daughter of Martin and Florence (Blomberg) Engwall. She married Clarence Fitzgerald on February 26, 1966, in Tucson, Arizona. He preceded her in death on April 3, 1979. Jane was a travel agent for over 40 years at Perry-Warren Travel Service in Tucson, retiring in 1985. She previously worked at American Airlines and Mars Company. Jane was a loving and dear aunt to her family and was known as ?Aunt Jane? to many.
Jane is survived by a brother, Martin Morris Jarpe and his wife Jolene of Moline; three nieces and their husbands, Michelle and Jon Tunberg and Dawn and Bill Ratzburg, all of Moline, Illinois, and Faith and Jon Aagaard of Wheaton, Illinois; a nephew and his wife, Robert and Kim Seeds of Lake Forest, Illinois; and fourteen great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom were like children to her. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and two sisters, Priscilla Seeds and Nancy Engwall.
