Moline, Illinois James M. Osborn, 63, of Moline, died Wednesday, June 30, 2004 at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island. At Jim's request there will be no public funeral service or visitation. Any memorial contributions may be given to the Memorial and Honor Program at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105. Trimble Funeral Home, Moline, is in charge of arrangements. James Marvin Osborn was born June 8, 1941, in Muscatine, Iowa, the son of Richard and Marie (Ostendorf) Osborn. Jim married the former Mary Jo Thomas, February 18, 1984, in Camanche, Iowa. He was previously married to the former Joyce Baker. Jim served his country by enlisting in the United States Army. He retired in 1994 from the John Deere Harvester Plow and Planter Works in Moline, after 30 years of employment. Most recently working as an assembler, and also served as a Union Steward for the UAW, Local 434. Before and after his retirement, Jim loved spending his free time fishing. Jim's family includes, his wife Mary Jo Osborn of Moline, his children and their spouses, Jeff and Jennifer Osborn of Moline. Dawn Osborn of Albuquerque, NM, Debbie Sheil of Payson, AZ, Craig Thomas of North Pole, AK, Karen and Patrick Liddell of Rockford, IL, Mark Thomas of Dekalb, IL, and Michael and Jill Thomas of Dekalb, IL, five grandchildren, a sister, Pat Douglas of Santa Rosa, CA, and a brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Sandy Osborn of Marshalltown, IA.
