James H. Morris

James H. Morris, 73, of Davenport, Iowa, died Monday, April 24, 2017, in Riverview Manor, Pleasant Valley, Iowa.

There will be a gathering of family and friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m., at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities, and burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park.

Jim was born October 31, 1943, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Howard and Doris Lohman Morris. He served in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War and was a mail carrier for several years. He belonged to NALC and Moose Lodge, and enjoyed catfishing, bowling, reading, and playing baseball.

Jim is survived by two sons, Brian Morris of Donahue, Iowa, and R. J. Morris of Kansas City, Missouri; two grandsons; and a sister, Sharon Freund of Texas.
