James E. Hinkle, 69, of Moline, Illinois, formerly of Coal Valley, Illinois, died Monday, March 11, 2013, at Trinity Rock Island, Rock Island, Illinois.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Coal Valley, with visitation one hour before the services. Memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
James Eugene Hinkle was born August 5, 1943, in Montgomery, Indiana, to Otis and Ruth O?Brien Hinkle. He married Nancy Ann Dawson in 1963, in Plainville, Indiana. She died in 1995. He married Barbara Bond Clause in Washington, Iowa. She died in 2003. He was employed at John Deere Plow Planter Works for 30 years, retiring in 1994. He enjoyed his dogs and black powder rifles.
Jim is survived by two sons, Steve Hinkle and his wife Stephanie of Madison, New York, and Scott Hinkle and his partner Troy DeFrane of Milan, Illinois; and a brother, Ron Hinkle and his wife Patty, of Washington, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his wives, his parents, and a brother, Jon Hinkle.
