James E. Geever

James Geever, 91, of East Moline, Illinois, died Sunday, November 27, 2022.

Services are 4:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline.

James Edward Geever was born November 13, 1931, in Oak Park, Illinois, the son of George and Evelyn (Homer) Geever. He served in the U.S. Army and later for the U.S. Army Reserves. He married Sharon Andre on June 17, 1961, in Des Plaines, Illinois. The couple had four children prior to separating in 1970.

Jim worked for Armour Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Revlon) as a pharmaceutical chemist for 22 years, retiring on September 4, 1987. Previously, he had worked for Plough, Inc. and Baxter Labs.

He enjoyed sports, investing, and classical music.

Jim is survived by three children, David and Jackie Geever, Constance Fox, and Michael Geever; eight grandchildren, Miranda, Megan, Nicholas, Elizabeth, Tristan, Nathan, Ryan, and Karac. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Gregory Geever; and a sister, Virginia Hartung.
