Irene E. Michael

Aledo, Illinois Irene E. Michael, 85, of Aledo, formerly of Joy, died Wednesday, October 9, 2002, at the Mercer County Hospital. Funeral Services for Irene will be Saturday at 10:30 AM at Trimble Funeral Home, Aledo. Burial will be in Candor Cemetery, Seaton, Illinois. Visitation is Friday from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Joy. Irene was born on Feburary 14, 1917 in Monmouth, Illinois to Eugene S. and Caroline H. (Petersen) Ryner. She married John R. Michael on January 26, 1938 in Kahoka, Missouri. He preceded her in death on November 28, 1973. Irene was the activities director for 10 years at the Mercer County Nursing Home. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Irene was a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her pet dogs. Irene is survived by her children and their spouses: Joan I. and Delbert Jones of Muscatine; Jack R. and Beverly Michael of Aledo; Mick E. and Sue Michael of Lexington, KY and Ronald and Joyce Michael of Joy; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a grandson, Jason Michael; a great-grandson, Eric Michael; 2 sisters, Marguerite Dutton and Helen Griffee and 4 brothers, Willard, Carrol, Richard and Earl Ryner.
