Irene E. Gulley

Irene E. Gulley, 86, of Rock Island, Illinois, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2018, at Fort Armstrong in Rock Island.

Visitation is 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Saturday in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Cremation will take place prior to services at Trimble Crematory. Memorials may be made to Quad City Animal Welfare Center, Milan.

Irene was born July 23, 1931, in Rock Island, the daughter of Rudolph and Amelia Nesseler. She was employed by Bituminous Casualty Co., Rock Island, retiring in 2005 after 35 years of service.

She enjoyed playing cards with friends, traveling, and always loved the company of dogs and cats throughout her life; "Heidi", "Cindy", "Boo Boo", "Laddie", "Abby" and "Annie", to name just a few.

Irene is survived by her son, Chris, of Rock Island. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers and sisters, Alberta, Harvey, Hank, Kate, Wesley, and Walter; and her son, Brian.
