Moline, Illinois Ila L. Dalton, 73, of Moline, died Wednesday, December 4, 2002, in Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island. Services are 10 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Coal Valley. The Reverend Robert Hagen will officiate. Burial is in Point Pleasant Cemetery near Roseville, Illinois. Visitation is 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Trimble Funeral Home, Coal Valley. Memorials may be made to the church or the Susan B. Koman Foundation. The former Ila Louise Strickler was born August 4, 1929, in Swancreek, Illinois, the daughter of Roy and Fern (Shaver) Strickler. She married Robert V. Dalton on March 2, 1947, in Davenport, Iowa. He died May 20, 1997, after celebrating 50 years of marriage. Ila was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Coal Valley, where she was a member of the Mary Martha Guild, the Widows Club, and Sociable Seniors. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and enjoyed oil painting, gardening and reading. Ila is survived by four children and their spouses, Sandra and Ed Kuykendall of Coal Valley, Michael and Cathy Dalton of Chenoa, Illinois, Denise and Alex Woloch of Sevierville, Tennessee, and Penny Fleming of Moline; a former son-in-law, Joe Fleming of Moline; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a brother and sister-in-law, Max and Kay Strickler of Oakridge, Oregon. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a sister, Virginia Ford.
