Howard D. Masengarb

Howard D. Masengarb, 88, of Bettendorf, Iowa, died Friday, December 2, 2016, at Iowa Masonic Health Facilities, Bettendorf.

Services are 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, immediately followed by a funeral luncheon at CityView Celebrations at Trimble Pointe. Visitation is one hour prior to services. Burial is in Rose Lawn Memorial Estates, Moline. Memorials may be made to the Iowa Masonic Health Facilities.

Howard was born June 2, 1928, in Moline, the son of William and Fannie (Milleson) Masengarb. He worked in sales for Emeis Electrical Service in Davenport for 27 years, retiring in 1988. After retiring, he worked for Montgomery Ward.

He was a member of the Hamilton Masonic Lodge in Bettendorf, and enjoyed gardening and traveling, especially to Germany and Hawaii.

Howard is survived by a brother, Ralph Masengarb of East Moline, and his best friend since 1951, Ralph Schluckwerder. He was preceded in death by brothers, Paul, Stowell, and Wiman Masengarb, and a sister, Marion Masengarb.
