Helga I. Tanner, 84, formerly of Rock Island, Illinois, died Monday, July 1, 2019, in Rosewood Care Center, Moline, Illinois.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home, Moline.

The former Helga Inge Klös was born April 7, 1935, in Wiesbaden, Germany, to Wilhelm and Hedwig (Guderjahn) Klös. She had been married to Eldon Vinson, Benjamin Wild, and David Lofdahl. She married William Tanner in 1993, in Rock Island. He died in 2014. She was a secretary at Black Hawk College, Bituminous Insurance Brat House and John Deere.

She is survived by three children and their spouses, Peter and Linda Vinson of Davenport, Iowa, Michael Vinson and his fiancé Pamela of California, and Patricia and Jim Kennedy of Oklahoma; ten stepchildren; 3 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; and other family in Germany. She was preceded in death by brothers, Dieter and Heinz Klös.
