Helen M. Conn, 102, of Moline, Illinois, died Saturday, March 16, 2019, at Heartland Health Care Center, Moline.

Visitation is 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, immediately followed by a graveside service at Rock Island National Cemetery. Those wishing to attend the graveside should meet in the parking lot at Trimble Pointe by 12:45 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

The former Helen Marian Kircher was born April 1, 1916, in Antigo, Wisconsin, the daughter of Henry and Pearle (Towsley) Kircher. She went to school in Wisconsin and Illinois. She married Wilfred Conn on September 11, 1937, in Kankakee, Illinois. They moved to Moline in 1951 and then to Rockford in 1972. Will preceded her in death in Rockford on December 28, 1996. Helen moved back to Moline in 2008.

She worked for JC Penney Company both in Moline and Rockford for 24 years. She was active in Lady Elks and Lady Elks bowling, JC Penney Retirement Club, and Southeast Senior Center. She was a longtime volunteer at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford.

Helen is survived by two daughters, Barbara (Jack) Hurley of Waukesha, Wisconsin, and Karen (Dean) Service of Moline; and grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Beth (Jeff) Peter and their children, Alexa and Ryan, Megan Hurley, Allison (Mike) McCutcheon and their children, Grace and Gabby, and Scott (Tia) Service and their children, Caroline, Ciara and Brenna. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant son, Frederick; and a sister, Ruth Holz.
