Harold S. Bennett Harold S. Bennett age 99 of Moline went to be with the Lord, Saturday, February 17, 2001

Private burial was in Moline Memorial Park Cemetery. A Memorial Services will be 2:00 PM Friday at Faith Walk Christian Center 1450 Colona Road, Silvis with the Reverend Amos Dwight Clevenger officiating. Trimble Funeral Home, Moline handled the arrangements.

Harold Sterling Bennett was born November 9, 1901 in Briar Bluff, Illinois the son of Frank and Ida Belle (Anderson) Bennett; he married Beulah Ella Bruner on June 30, 1925 in Joslin, Illinois she died July 14, 1983. Harold Worshiped at Moline Gospel Temple, were he was a member of the Jubilee Club. He was a Union Steward of UAW Local 1310, and was a previous member of the Rock Island Conservation Club. He was employed at International Harvester Farmall, Rock Island as a machine repairman for 27 years, retiring in 1968. Fishing and boating were some of the things he enjoyed. He was a kind, gentle, humorous and wonderful man.

Survivors include two daughtersand a son-in-law, Mona Burmood of Moline, and Julie and James Simmons of Davenport, two granddaughters, Vickie Matthis of Moline, and Lisa Bradley-Kubec of Davenport, and seven great-grandchildren. Three sisters and two brothers preceded him in death.
