Harold L. Anderson

Harold L. Anderson, 68, of Moline, died Thursday, June 12, 2003, in his home.

Funeral services are 10 a.m. Monday at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, Coal Valley, preceded by family prayers at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Trimble Funeral Home, Moline. Rev. Michael Schaab will officiate. Burial is in Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock Island. Visitation is 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Pathway Hospice.

Mr. Anderson was born November 21, 1934, in Albia, Iowa, the son of John and Helen (Carlson) Anderson. He married Patricia Morris on November 23, 1955, in Albia, Iowa. She died December 17, 1974. He married Janice Fitzgerald on July 17, 1976, in Coal Valley, Illinois. He was a driver for Bonnett Wholesale Florist, Milan, for over 10 years, retiring in 1996. He previously was co-owner of Air Freight Delivery Services, Moline, for 25 years. He had been a member of the former Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Moline, National Rifle Association, and AARP. He loved to fish and enjoyed playing pool.

Harold is survived by his wife, Janice; three children and their spouses, Merri Jean and Doug Bush of Trotwood, Ohio, Kelly L. and Dallas Jo Anderson of Milan, and Kenny A. Anderson of Rock Island; six grandchildren, Bradley, Katie and Jennie Bush, and Nicholas, Kelsey and Haley Anderson; and 11 siblings, Lloyd Anderson and Gerald Anderson of Albia, Iowa, Mason Anderson and Evelyn Barker of Des Moines, Virginia Sims of Butterfield, Missouri, Audrey Post of Hemet, California, John Anderson of Cedar Rapids, Richard Anderson of Altoona, Iowa, Ernest Anderson of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Ida Mae Collins of Henderson, Kentucky, and Margaret Mary Darrah of Defiance, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia, his parents, and a brother, Donald Anderson.
