Gloria M. Hansen

Gloria Hansen, 86, of Moline, Illinois, died Friday, September 18, 2020, in Aperion Care Center, East Moline.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home. Private burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery.

Gloria Mae Nixon was born March 4, 1934, in Storm Lake, Iowa, the daughter of Earl and Heloise (Allen) Nixon. She married Donald Ray Hansen and he died February 16, 1977.

She was a waitress and cook for several establishments, retiring from the Alcoa Canteen.

Her husband was a Commander of the VFW and she was active with the VFW Auxiliary. She loved puzzles and her many pets over the years and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. Above all else, family as the most important thing to Gloria, and she especially enjoyed watching her grandchildren’s sporting events.

Gloria is survived by her step-sons, David Hansen of Rock Island, Donald Hansen of Moline, Mike Hansen of East Moline, and Terry Hansen on Rapids City; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
