Glenna Jean Nupp, age 66, of Coal Valley, passed Tuesday, April 20, 2004 at Imperial Point Hospital, Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Glenna lived her life with love, compassion, and forgiveness. She will be missed by all who loved her. Services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday at Trimble Funeral Home, Coal Valley with interment following in the Hampton Township Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. The former Glenna Jean Clark was born April 12, 1938 in Wapello County, Iowa the daughter of Harold and Erma (Roseman) Clark. Glenna married William E. Nupp, Sr. in Coal Valley. She worked for many years as a framer at Malco in Rock Island, retiring in 1980 so she could stay home and be a mother to her seven children. Survivors include Glenna's husband, William, mother, Erma Howell of Tennessee,
seven children and their spouses, Steven Popp of Naples, FL, Lynn and Mike Benedict of Grand Mound, IA, Bill, Jr. and Jeri Nupp of Pompano Beach, FL, Lori and Bill Rotz of East Moline, IL, Jesse Nupp of Pompano Beach, FL, Lana and Dennis Long, Jr. of Moline, IL, and Sheri Nupp and her fiancée Mike Harris of Carbon Cliff, IL, ten grandchildren, Terry, Shelly, Christy, Jessica, Kitty, Dennis III, Jesse Jr, William, Matthew, and Courtney, eight great-grandchildren, a sister, Sandra and Terry Beckman of Tennessee, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Dan and Deb Clark of Rapid City, IL, and Gary and Anna Clark of Port Byron, IL, and her best friends, Sissy and Merlyn. Glenna was preceded in death by a brother, Harold.
