Georgia F. ?Jo? Kling, 89, of Moline, died Saturday, April 16, 2005, in her home.
Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary?s Catholic Church, Moline. Burial is in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Davenport. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Memorials may be made to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center, Milan.
The former Georgia Frances Quinn was born June 27, 1915, in Muscatine, Iowa, the daughter of William and Mary (Deutsch) Quinn. She married Albert E. Kling on March 25, 1939, in Dubuque, Iowa. He died October 5, 2003.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline, and a former member of the Altar and Rosary Society at St. Mary?s Catholic Church, and the Left Bank Art League. She had been a dancing instructor prior to her marriage. She loved dancing and music, enjoyed art, crafts, sewing, reading, traveling, and church activities, and adored her children, grandchildren, and pets.
Jo is survived by two daughters, Carol Murdy of Moline, and Donna Rettig Marsho and her husband John of Rock Island; five grandchildren, Michael and Matthew Murdy, Sara Shull, and Jeff and Kevin Rettig. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three sisters and a brother.
