Coal Valley, Illinois George A. Morse, 59, of Coal Valley, died Saturday, March 10, 2001, in Valley Baptist Medical Center, Harlingen, Texas. A memorial service for George A. Morse, 59, of Coal Valley, is 1:30 p.m. Sunday, March 18, 2001, at Trimble Funeral Home, Coal Valley. The family will greet friends at the Fleetwood Café in Coal Valley following the services. Mr. Morse was born December 7, 1941, in East Moline, Illinois, the son of Walt and Pauline (Arnold) Morse. He married Beverly Lindberg on November 16, 1963, in East Moline. He was an assembler at John Deere Planter Works, Moline, for 30 years, retiring in 1994. He was a member of Coal Valley Baptist Church and a former member of Illinois Prairie Schooners. He was a jack of all trades and enjoyed woodworking and playing Bingo and golf. George is survived by his wife, Beverly; a son, Robert Morse of Coal Valley; three daughters and a son-in-law, Sherry Morse of Moline, Susanne and Matthew Peterson of East Moline, and Marilyn Morse of Hillsdale; seven grandchildren; brothers, Don Morse of East Moline, and Bobby Morse and Steve Morse of Rock Island; a sister, Sue Ash of Lead Hill, Arkansas; a step-brother, John Bristol of Charlotte, NC; and a half-sister, Marie Ventura of Visella, CA.
