Genevieve E. Jones

Genevieve E. Penrod-Jones, 88, of Davenport, Iowa, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 21, 2022.

Per Genevieve’s wishes there will be no funeral or memorial services. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

Genevieve was born on September 2, 1933, in Buffalo, Iowa, the daughter of Albert Penrod and Carrie May Burris Penrod. She was one of twelve children.

Genevieve worked at Wonder Bread Bakery for twenty-three years before retiring. She was a St. Louis Cardinals fan and loved watching WWE wrestling. She was loved by so many people.

Those left to honor her memory include her daughters, Debbie (Jim) Niles, Billie (Orlando) Rodriguez, and LaDonna Arroyo all of Davenport, Teresa Bell of Ohio, Wendy (Enrique) Castillo, and Jackie Darlington, both of Florida; 16 Grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Eloise (Lee) Carney, the last of 12 children; and several nieces and nephews that she so loved.

Genevieve was proceeded in death by her parents; six sisters; four brothers; her daughter, Candy Sue Jones; her son, Michael Eastwood; and her grandson, James “Jay” Niles.
