Ethel Holst Services for Ethel Holst, 85, of Moline, are 10 a.m. Friday at Trimble Funeral Home, Moline. Pastor Michael Kennedy, Faith Evangelical Free Church, Moline, will officiate. Burial is in Riverside Cemetery, Moline. Mrs. Holst died Thursday, February 22, 2001, in her home. She was born March 3, 1915, in Elgin, Illinois, the daughter of William F. and Emma (Hansen) McEwan. She was a secretary at the Rock Island Arsenal for many years. Ethel is survived by a niece, Lucille Hunter of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, and two nephews, Howard Banwart and Robert Banwart, both of Phoenix, Arizona, and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Ruth Geimer and Ella Banwart, a brother, William McEwan, and a nephew, Richard McEwan. END OF OBITUARY
