Emily Wilson, age 82, of Moline, Illinois, died Sunday, July 27, 2003 at Trinity Medical Center in Rock Island. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:30 PM. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Wednesday at Trimble Funeral Home, Moline. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline, Illinois. Memorials may be given to theFriends of the Silvis Public Library or to Intouch Adult Day Care. The former Emily Jeanne Ade was born January 7, 1921 in Moline, Illinois the daughter of Earl R. and Harriett E. (Longwell) Ade. She was a graduate of The Villa, attended Blackhawk College, Marycrest College, and the University of Illinois. Emily served as a clerk in the United States Navy, during World War II. She married Gordon H. Wilson on November 18, 1950 in Moline, Illinois. Emily was employed at the Silvis Public Library for 19 years, retiring in 1984; she previously had been employed at Deere & Company. She was a member of the former Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Moline. Other memberships include; Zonta - Moline, Rock Island, Quad City Symphony's Orchestra League, the Moline Senior Center, Lydia Circle, and United Methodist Women. Her family members include; two daughters and a son-in-law, Linda Wilson of Moline, Laurie and Dennis Neal of Rock Hill, South Carolina, a son and daughter-in-law, Clarke and Pamela Wilson of Ladera Ranch, California, a foster daughter, Patricia Parcell of Denver, Colorado, six grandchildren, a sister, Doris Elliott of Monmouth, Illinois, and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Dr. C. William and Sue Ade of Chesterfield, Missouri, John and Jan Ade of Hawthorne, California, and special cousins, Dr. Ralph and Marilyn Ade of Moline.
