Elizabeth J. Childers, 94, of Silvis, Illinois, formerly of Exeter, California, died Monday, September 29, 2014, at Illini Restorative Care, Silvis.

There will be no public services. Trimble Funeral Home & Crematory, Moline, is entrusted with arrangements.

The former Elizabeth Jane Griggs was born September 4, 1920, in Exeter, California, the daughter of Alfred and Margaret (Wallace) Griggs. She married Richard Vincent, and later married Charles Childers, who preceded her in death.

She enjoyed hunting, fishing, and painting.

Betty is survived by a three sons and their wives, David and Claire Vincent of Winchester, Virginia, Douglas and Celia Vincent of Salem, Oregon, and Richard and Linda Vincent of Colorado Springs, Colorado; eight grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Hamilton.
