Eileen M. Holcomb

Eileen M. Holcomb, 69, of Geneseo, Illinois, died unexpectedly on Friday, December 7, 2018, at Hammond Henry Hospital, Geneseo.

Services are 10:00 a.m. Friday in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Burial is in Viola Cemetery. Visitation is 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday. Cremation will take place prior to services at Trimble Crematory. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Eileen Marie Bladel was born March 27, 1949, to Jack and Evelyne (Taylor) Bladel. She married Richard F. Black in 1968. She later married the love of her life, Richard L. Holcomb on July 30, 1983, in Moline, Illinois.

She was the office manager for Ellefritz Tax Services in Moline for 16 years. She also spent 15 years as a truck driver for Heartland Express. She ran Cayenne Pepper Poodle Ranch out of her home, and that was her life force. She bred many types, but brought reds and phantoms to this area. She also loved Gone with the Wind, bowling, driving, roses, sitting outside, and playing "Coral Isle".

Eileen is survived by her beloved husband of over 35 years, Rick; two children, Richard (Kelley) Black of North Port, Florida, and Terrell (Seneca) Black of Moline; her "daughter of the heart", Rachel (Blane) Shippey of Bettendorf; grandchildren, Justin (Nikki) Black, Hunter Black, Jacquelyne (fiancé Trey Hollinger) Black, Sean (fiancé Andrea Wood) Black, Jayden McKinney, and Lydia Pallischeck; four great-grandchildren; siblings, Michael (Mickey) Bladel of Seneca, South Carolina, Sheri (Steve) Ellefritz of Moline, and Marsha Wolak of Scottsdale, Arizona; several nieces and nephews; and her "poo kids". She was preceded in death by her mother, Evelyne Weinberg; her father, Jack Bladel; her step-father, Byron Weinberg; and siblings, Dennis Bladel and Susan Donley.
