Edna B. Noxel

East Moline, Illinois Edna B. Noxel, 88, of East Moline, Illinois, died Friday, May 16, 2003, in Illini Hospital, Silvis, Illinois. Services are 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Trimble Funeral Home, Moline, with The Reverend Roger Christianson officiating. Burial is in National Cemetery on the Rock Island Arsenal. Visitation is 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Riverside United Methodist Church, Moline. The former Edna Melissa Beebe was born November 23, 1914, in Bernhards Bay, New York, the daughter of Claude and Bessie (Rowe) Beebe. She married Frank M. Noxel on June 21, 1952, in Syracuse, New York. He died May 20, 1996. She was a Register Nurse and had worked at Syracuse General Hospital for nine years and John Deere' Chilled Plow Company, Syracuse, for 11 years. She was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church, Moline, East Moline Women's Club, and the Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed their vacation home in Skaneateles, New York. Edna is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Lynne and Larry Meeske of Moline; three grandsons, Kyle, Brett, and Ryne Meeske; a sister, Edith Nodecker of Oneida, New York; and a sister-in-law and her husband, Margaret and Ed Gratzer of Heber Springs, Arkansas.
