Moline, Illinois Edgar W. Bisdorf, age 89, of Moline, Illinois, died Sunday, June 30, 2002 at Rosewood Care Center in Moline. Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday at Community of Christ 1545 48th Street Place in Moline were he was a member. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 8 pm at Trimble Funeral Home in Moline. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline, Illinois. Memorials may be made to either Pathway Hospice or the Community of Christ. Edgar Willis Bisdorf was born August 26, 1912 in Bellevue, Iowa. The son of Nicholas and Minnie (Glade) Bisdorf. He married Ruth Graham in 1929 in Rock Island, Illinois, she preceded him in death in 1972. He married Vivian Holloway on April 29, 1978 in Moline. Mr. Bisdorf was employed for 16 years as a Hydraulic Dredge Lever man for the United States Army Corps of Engineer's in Rock Island. He retired in 1976 as a Toolmaker from Caterpillar Tractor Company in Rock Island. Edgar was a Nascar fan, following races around the country. He also enjoyed carpentry and woodworking, and built his own grandfather clock. Mr. Bisdorf is survived by his wife, Vivian of Moline; three children and their spouses, Keith and Margaret Lane of Round Lake Beach, Illinois, Gaelane and Chris Rosinski of Algonquin, Illinois, and Dorothy and Bob Haemer of Moline, Illinois; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Ethel Bisdorf of Rock Island; brother, Norbert Bisdorf of Mount Prospect, Illinois. He was preceded in death by a son, Jack Bisdorf; sister Dorothea Lucke; and brother, Clarence Bisdorf. Remembrances and condolences may be shared with the family at www.TrimbleFuneralHomes.com.
