Duane S. Anderson, 72, of Moline, Illinois, died suddenly in his home on Thursday, February 22, 2007.

Joint services with his mother-in-law, Mary L. Dickerson, are 1 p.m. Monday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Mary also died Thursday. The Reverend Dan Cole, First Baptist Church, Moline, and the Reverend Dan Witkowski, First Lutheran Church, Moline, will officiate. Duane’s burial is in Rose Lawn Memorial Estate, Moline. Visitation is 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Duane S. Anderson Memorial Fund which will be established by his family.

Duane Stuart Anderson was born January 3, 1935, in Moline, the son of Carl John and Bernice (Bjorkman) Anderson. He graduated from Moline High School and Augustana College. He married Martha Lucille Daniels on January 11, 1958, in Galesburg, Illinois.

He was a stock broker and financial advisor to investors and pension boards. He was in the brokerage business for over 30 years, retiring from Stifel-Nicolaus Company in 1990. He was an active member of First Baptist Church, Moline, where he served as trustee, deacon and treasurer. He loved his grandchildren and being with his family, and enjoyed travel and cars.

Duane is survived by his wife, Martha Lucille; three children and their spouses, Greg and Kimberly Anderson of Batavia, Illinois, Paula and Mark Evans and Carla and Jeffrey Wallace all of Moline; and four grandchildren, Garrett and Kirsten Anderson and Bryce and Blake Evans.
