Dorothy Shepherd Bare

Dorothy Shepherd Bare, 84, of New Boston, died Monday, March 31, 2003 at the Mercer County Nursing Home, Aledo.

Cremation rites were accorded and no formal services will be held, per her wishes. Trimble Funeral Home, Aledo is in charge of arrangements.

Dorothy was born on February 23, 1919 in Millersburg Township, Mercer County, Illinois to Jess R. and Mabel M. (Hoppaugh) Shepherd. She attended schools and resided in New Boston most of her life. She owned and operated the New Boston Variety Store.

Dorothy is survived by nieces and nephews and was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.
