Dorothy L. Hunt, 92, of Moline, Illinois, died Saturday, June 8, 2013, at Heartland Health Care Center, Moline.
Graveside services and burial are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline, with Pastor Kent Umbarger officiating. Memorials may be made to Quad City Animal Welfare Center, Milan. Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, is in charge of arrangements.
The former Dorothy Louise Fenno was born July 5, 1920, in Moline, the daughter of Raymond and Cecelia Skinner Fenno. She married Walter Eugene Hunt on July 5, 1941, in St. Joseph, Missouri. He died November 27, 1997. She had been a clerk at Trevor Hardware and Carson Pierie Scott in Moline. She was a community volunteer in many areas, including Handi/Buds 4-H Club, Girl Scouts, and Moline Public Hospital Auxiliary, and enjoyed doing crafts.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Kenneth Weidenbach of Rock Island; two grandchildren, Leif Schafer and Kathryn Schafer; and a great-grandson, Tele Kanzaki. She was preceded in death by her husband and a sister, Audrene Peterson.
