Dorothy L. Duncan, 90, formerly of Moline, Illinois, died Sunday, June 9, 2019, at West Vue Nursing Center in West Plains, Missouri.

Services are 11:00AM Thursday, June 20, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery, immediately followed by a luncheon at CityView Celebrations in the lower level of Trimble Pointe. Memorials may be made to Riverways Hospice, 114 East Main Street, West Plains, MO 65775.

The former Dorothy Levena Turley was born June 25, 1928, in Beardstown, Illinois, to Claude Riggs and Nina F. (Bridgeman) Turley. She married Jack W. Duncan on October 23, 1948, in Galesburg, Illinois. He passed away January 19, 2008.

Dorothy loved scary movies as well as western movies and books. She enjoyed being around people and was involved in all activities when she lived at the Colona House in Illinois and Walnut Grove in Missouri, whether it be playing cards, bingo, or parties. She was a wonderful gardener who loved working with her husband, Jack, on their huge garden each year.

Survivors include sons, Richard (Beverly) Duncan of Davenport, Iowa, and David (Vicki) Duncan of West Plains; a daughter-in-law, Dian Duncan of Geneseo, Illinois; grandchildren, Lynn (Jim) Blaser, Debbie (Ron) Wheeler, and Lisa (Johnnie) Etter, all of Geneseo, Scott Brockmeyer of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Jennifer Riggins of Gig Harbor, Washington, Kim (Lucrece) Booth of Des Moines, Iowa, Michael (Sharyl) Camery of Chandler, Arizona, and Amy Sargeant and Matthew Duncan, both of Deltona, Florida; 11 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; and a niece, Joyce Westphal. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Larry Duncan; five brothers, Roy, Ray, Donald, Wilbur and Lee Turley; and two sisters, Helen Turley and Edna Kessinger.
